Pit Bulls have a reputation for being aggressive or dangerous dogs; this bad reputation comes –in no small part- from their association with blood sports such as dog fighting. It’s true that Pit Bulls are selectively bred to grow very strong, and have an exceptionally strong bite force, however, as with any dog, their temperament and behavior is largely based on the environment in which they are raised.
